Late 19th-early 20th century. 21 å?‰۝ length. Seamed leather grip with leather knot terminals. The shaft of twisted and tapered polished rawhide with very small cylindrical iron tip. Sound and showing evidence of considerable careful use. The grip formerly with a wrist strap now lacking. Use of the whip is strictly regulated and monitored in thoroughbred racing. Rare.
