4 1/2” length. .40 cal for round ball. Scissors type with a sprue cutter. One arm numbered 108. Machine tool finishes as is typical for Civil War production. Soldiers of both the North and South carried their own pistols and were not provided ammunition. They cast balls in the field as needed. Molds like this were provided with pistols when purchased or bought separately.
