Coin silver tea spoon, 5 3/4” length of delicate proportions. C.1780-90. The back marked N DODGE, Nehemiah Dodge, Providence Rhode Island, active 1765-1825. The style dates it to before 1790.  Companion to our B5226 that has the family monogram Cadillac found in Grosse Pointe Michigan, and that example likely descended through the family of Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac, founder of Detroit in 1701.
