CARIBBEAN PIRATE'S FOLDING KNIFE

$140.00

17th-18th century, of classic form which evolved into the navaja. 4‰۝ length with curved edge, slightly recurved back wedge section blade. Original pivot axle. Well preserved for the period. As sailors were universally prohibited and prevented from owing pointed knives, the pirate attribution may be applied with confidence. Purchased from a Fort Myers Florida dive and salvage shop in the 1980s.
