18th century, 24 5/8” curved wedge section blade, with some scattered pitting and evidence of sharpening. Hilt of characteristic form, with congealed black leather or hide covering. Iron pommel pierced for a wrist thong. Basic fighting example. Original hide covered scabbard with two silver suspension mounts (some insect damage).
