Pre-contact example. 18 3/4" greatest dimension. Formed from a natural trunk with limb forming the haft. The back carved to a point. Tongue form black stone blade. The entire head/socket skillfully wrapped in split cane with brown pigmented finish. Excellent condition. Fine patina with the cane worn/flaked. Haft with encrustation and gloss from handling.
