Queensland, mid 19th century. 25 ½” length. Tapered body scraped in fine facets. Swelled head with conical terminal, slightly recurving to form the tip. The grip with spiral scarification to improve contact with the hand. Cut with six tally marks (kills?) above. Fine deep age patina with glossy surface and encrustation. Slight spatter of white manor house paint probably indicating its display by an English family with colonial service history.
