19th century. Captured during the Philippines Insurrection of 1899 and part of the General Harry Bandholtz Collection which won first prize at the 1905 Saint Louis Exposition. 67 1/2” length with a forged iron point of thick elongated leaf shape. Cylindrical bolster on a banded bronze ferrule. Heavy male cane haft with expected age checks. Fine age character throughout and likely a generation old before its capture.
