18th century. 11 3/4” length, shaped to the forearm and elbow which it protects. The surface decorated with a central panel of nobles at court with arabesques interspersed and serpentine border. The base with a large three character cipher. Gray patina with remnants of gold and silver koftgari enhancement. The reverse with bonded original cloth liner.
