Recovered in southwestern Germany (Baden-Württemberg), 3 3/4” length with elongated pyramidal form point and butted seam conical socket with a portion of the iron securing pin intact. Sound excellent excavated condition, professionally preserved. The evolution of the crossbow paralleled that of plate armor and the bolts such as this could penetrate all but the thickest plate at the time.
