Forged iron 5 7/8” length, scissor form with scroll tip finger loops. Semicircular pan with corresponding top which would trim the candle while snuffing it out with minimal residual smoke. See Collector’s Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution, Neumann, p.178 #20 for a near identical example. Very rare.
