Cylindrical, 5 ½” diameter. Made of split ash wood, steamed, bent over a form and secured with iron tacks. Inset circular wood base secured with nails, one of which is exposed from a splinter, revealing that it is a cut nail with tapered square section shank as is correct for the Colonial period.
