Iron flint striker, broken (“ritually killed”) for inclusion with the burial of a Viking warrior. Forged iron, 2 5/8” (2.61”) length of characteristic form. Both ends broken and absent to release its spirit and render it unusable in this life. Quite well preserved. Likely wrapped in a bundle for burial and not in direct contact with soil as it would be if simply lost.
