ROMAN WOMAN’S PENDANT NECKLACE, 200-450 AD

$180.00

As a significant proportion of Roman art and decoration involved erotic subjects, there is some disagreement about the symbolism in many cases. This is a silvered bronze woman’s pendant of elongated, perhaps fruit, form. It is over ¾” (0.82”) long in total and of roughly, baluster form, now showing some wear from use. The symbolism is now lost. It is professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored on an 18” silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
