KNIGHTS TEMPLAR SWORD, C. 1900-30

30 3/8” plated blade decorated 3/4 length with Crusades scenes and motifs, crusader, Holy Land, and owner's name, Memento Mori (skull and crossed bones) on faded gold background. The plating slightly degraded. Forte marked CINCINATTI REGALIA CO CINCINNATI O. That company was established in 1895 and this sword dates to about 1900-30. Gilt hilt with helmet pommel and synthetic ivory grip with monogram and cross. Considerable gold remaining in protected areas. The guard with enameled cross and crown (no chips).  Excellent quality with expected ageing and evidence of use.
