Iron hilt of Rajasthani form with high shouldered grip, dished pommel and recurved knuckle bow with tear drop finial, retaining most original black finish.  32” broad fullered single edged blade with a line of maker’s marks in the left fuller, and long false edge. Blade quite bright in old arsenal polish. Dating to the period of expansion of the Moghul Empire under Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb.
