WOODLAND INDIAN DAGGER, 18TH-EARLY 19TH CENTURY

$325.00

9 7/8” length. Forged iron with leaf shaped blade showing lamination seam, light tool finish and isolated oxidation. Light old preservative (varnish?) to the surface. Integral tapered grip with rounded pommel, encased in fine stitched hide with good glossy patina. Probably a blacksmith trade knife, though Indians did do some forging in the early 19th century. Sound and complete with wonderful overall character.
