Gilt bronze, 4.2mm rounded face band, slightly flared to the shoulders. Raised heart (natural form) bezel with engraved central radial sun (Sol) surrounded by radial filled crescents. That motif possibly taken from Christianity and in a form associated with the Star of Bethlehem. At the time, Vikings were coexisting with Christians and some were converted. Christian symbols were embraced and frequently incorporated by Vikings, both converted and practicing Old Norse paganism. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with a certification of authenticity.
