VIKING HEART PENDANT NECKLACE C.900-1050 AD - WAS $190.00

$140.00 $190.00

Just under 5/8” width, with nubs at the side sixth points suggesting a saltire. Raised edges of scrolling elements in the Viking taste. The center with a very low relief heart of natural (uncusped) form with a radiant edge. A heart within a heart with a significance now lost. Perhaps commemorating a departed loved one. Made by the open face mold process. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored, on a Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
