A good example in its fully evolved form. Rounded section and fully evolved cusped top with broad rounded border forming a heart within a heart! 7/8” height, made by the open face mold technique. The iconic form in excellent preservation. For Vikings, the heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the warrior. It is said that Hrungnir, with whom Thor dueled (assisted by a sorceress), had a heart of stone. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored, on sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed for Valentine’s Day giving with certificate of authenticity. Charming.
