Gilt bronze, about ⅞” (0.89”) diameter. Circular, the upper portion forms a swelling crest with roped or spiral decoration to each face. These rings were worn in the beard and hair, particularly around the ears.  The spiral or helix held supernatural significance to Vikings. Surface textured from burial. The 24karat gold surface renewed. Could be used for modern wear as a size 9 ½ finger ring. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
