10th-11th century AD. The most esteemed form for Vikings was the double bead as seen here. In Bronze with the gold overlay restored. 5/8” length. Vikings valued beads above gold and took beads as a tribute, sparing lives in exchange. This example was worn, probably for generations, causing a wear hole in the middle and still, so valued that it was worn on. Professionally refurbished with the gold surface restored.
