VIKING FIRE STARTER C.866-1067 AD

$170.00

Rare form, unique in our experience. 3 5/8" height with cusped peaked ends. Used with flint which is abundant in England, to produce a spark to tinder such as the inner hairs from bark, which could be blown into a flame. Fire was frequently use by Viking raiders to burn out house occupants which were taken as slaves.
