Good example in its iconic form. Note that Vikings settled over a vast area for over 200 years and regional forms of decoration and weapons, of which this is one, evolved. Just over 6" total length. Broad wedge section blade with slightly concave clipped point. The cross section thinner than a working knife as it was intended for slashing flesh. Excavated with significant original surface preserved and pockmarks pitting. Professionally conserved with very dark glossy patina.
