7 1/4” length, Forged iron with broad crescent form blade. Tapered rectangular section tang with the end turned over, for mounting in a wood or bone grip. Viking household gardens grew herbs which were basic to Viking cooking. Sickles of this size were used to harvest herbs and vegetables. Stable excavated condition.
