VICTORIAN HALBERDS, PAIR.

$345.00

89” length, with white metal (zinc?) heads well crafted in the style of about 1700 or slightly earlier, with crescent axe blades, opposing curved back flukes and surmounted by a broad spear point. Type used in Europe and Colonial America during the Pilgrim period. See American Polearms, pl.22 and Neumann, #34A. Wood hafts with slightly congealed brown finish. Probably processional as theatrical examples would be less substantial. Excellent display, possibly crossed and genuine early examples. We have a set of four and are selling the two pictured together to reduce shipping cost. Price for the two (plus standard $9.95 domestic shipping).
