Very Rare 17th Century Scottish Priming Flask


Wood, 5 7/8" length, well carved of horn form with basket weave know below the spout. The body carved in pairs of linear grooves with heart form terminals. The circular base secured with antler pins and ADditionally covered with a coarse cloth. Original leather strap pierced through the base and forming the stopper or plug. Completely intact and untouched with wonderful patina and age character.
