Pre 1930. See The American Sword, Peterson #138, 28 1/2” broad fullered single edged blade, finely decorated first half with foliage, military trophies, eagle, anchor, U S N and vacant panel for owner’s name. The fort with TOLEDO ESPANA and maker’s mark. As the tariff Act of 1930 requires the country of origin in English, this sword predates 1930. Blade crisp wit isolated pitting in small islands. Plated hilt pierced with foliage and USN with brass pommel cap and wire wrapped black leather grip.
