Early 20th century, Peterson #138, perhaps dating to the Great White Fleet. 30” broad fullered single edged blade, decorated first half with foliage, military trophies, eagle, anchor, U S N and vacant panel for owner’s name. The fort with ROWNIN & KING NEW YORK NY retailer’s name (unknown to us).  Gilt hilt with near all gold remaining. Wire wrapped sharkskin grip, (small wear spots). Leather covered scabbard complete with scuffs and minor shrink checks to the leather. Original gold bullion sword knot excellent. Good early example.
