Tuareg Ceramic Lamp


4 1/4" height. Spherical on large flared foot. Pierced with circular top and triangular annular openings. Short hair line crack, otherwise fine age patina. Virtually disposable, these are very rare. Late 19th century, the period of resistance to French colonial conquest. The lamp was used in the desert with fat as fuel.
