3 1/2” diameter, fine burl wood with a raised foot encased in repoussé white metal and flared rim. Line with white metal extending over and encasing the rim. Well used but undamaged with the metal intact and wood with a dull finish from use and repeated washing. These and virtually all other Buddhist artifacts were removed from Tibet in the 1950s following the Chinese invasion of 1950. Used in Lamist Buddhist ceremonies for the ritual sacrifice of wine.
