Would date about 1800, possibly earlier. 7 3/4" medially ridged blade with short ricasso, shows linear and meandering pattern welded construction with good deep texture and contrast. One piece wood grip of slightly recurved form with rounded flat faced butt as found on piah kaettas. The base rounded incised band above the blade seat. Hilt with much original japanned finish mixed with light wear from use.
