This example has crossed sword and scabbard badge but is otherwise similar, thus suggesting that it is for a Cavalry officer. 30 3/4" blade, spear pointed for the last half, marked Fca DE TOLEDO 1874.  Hilt with semi bowl guard decorated with deep relief foliage (edge crack 1/4"). Brass grip with simulated wire wrap.
