Made in Albacete. 6 3/8” medially ridged spear form blade. Elongated diamond form iron cross guard. Bone grip with alternating plain and scalloped inset brass bands flanked by banded conical brass ends. Wear commensurate with its age and use. See Armas Blancas en España, pl.11 right for a near identical example. Highly regarded and used throughout Spain, these are particularly associated with Basque Resistance during Spain's alliance with Napoleon, 1803-08.
