SPANISH COLONIAL LANCE POINT

$325.00
Southwest America/Mexico. 17th-18th century. Iron, 6 1/2" long of typical form with tapered diamond section point on lapped seam conical socket, interestingly pierced with three holes for securing pins. The point is delicately forged and cut with three decorative bands. Excellent preservation with the point intact and some original tool finish. These are nearly always found in very rough conditions if not excavated. Most were used later as tools with the sockets mushroomed from hammering. This example is also marginally larger than most.
