Semi bowl hilt with slotted knuckle guard. Diced ergonomic composition grip. 32” curved blade, un-fullered. The forte with serial number only. Blade with original cross polish pattern and smooth discoloration only. Plated iron scabbard excellent and undented. Guard with slightly frosty gray patina. See Vicente Toledo Momparler, Espadólogo #345 for this pattern.  Grip excellent. Spain’s defeat in the Spanish-American War led to a cultural revolution and Civil unrest. As well, the Berber uprising in Morocco contributed to the instability which culminated in the Spanish Civil War. When Teddy Roosevelt went “over the hill”, this is what greeted him!
