First half of the 19th century. Superior quality example. Fine 5 5/8" blade with hollow section faces, the back engraved with scrolling foliage and a flower. Silver ferrule with medial bands of filigree, excellent and undamaged. Globular grip made from a nicely grained single piece of ivory from the tusk tip. Blade shows light gray surface patina only.
