Kingdom of the two Sicilies which form after Napoleon’s defeat by the merger of the Kingdom of Sicily and the Kingdom of Naples. Gilt brass hilt with broad stepped knuckle bow and well sculpted monster head pommel. Remnants of gold in protected areas. Ribbed leather covered grip with congealed surface. 28 ¾” curved broad fullered blade with old stable crusty oxidation to the surface. Exotic pattern which surely served in the 1848 Revolution.
