ROMAN WOMAN'S PENDANT NECKLACE, 200-450 AD

$110.00

As a significant proportion of Roman art and decoration involved erotic subjects, there is some disagreement about the symbolism in many cases. This is a silvered bronze woman’s pendant of elongated, perhaps fruit, form. It is slightly under an inch long in total and faceted to a hexagonal section, now showing some wear from use. The symbolism is now lost. It is professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored on a Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
