Good quality with 2.2mm flat face band with raised oval bezel which is cut with an abstracted motif, possibly a person’s head, serving as a signet, which identified the owner and could be used to seal legal matters. (In Ben Hur, the title character identifies himself by stamping Messala’s tablet with his ring which bears the signet of Quintus Arrius.) Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift box with Certificate of Authenticity.
