These served as additional protection as they would help absorb a sword or spear blow and are in fact, a form of scale armor. Silvered bronze, 2 1/8 height. Heart form with delineated cusps and clover form bottom with swelled terminal. Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored on a Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity. Actual piece of Roman armor!
