Forged iron, diamond section and leaf shaped with flared foot to mate with the shaft. Tapered tang. Ver 4 3/8” (4.42”) total length. See European Arrowheads and Crossbow Bolts, Rau, p.83. Clearly designed to penetrate the iron and bronze mail of the period and in fact the precursor of the Medieval bodkin arrow. Excellent condition.
