Gilt bronze, size 9 1/2 with 4.1mm rounded face band flared at the stepped shoulders. Raised oval bezel. A transitional form of Guiraud type 3 (Ancient Rings, Pollio, p.62). Dating to the period after the fall of Rome and Germanic migrations. That period saw the early spread of Christianity which was dramatically escalated by Charlemagne around 800 AD. Professionally refurbished with 24karat gold overlay restored for modern wear.  Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
