3 3/8” length. These inexpensive knives were used to trim the patch after the ball was set in the muzzle, ready for ramming. The blade is thin, for ease of cutting and not for use as a work knife. The wood handle is lacking. See Swords and Blades of the American Revolution, #46.K for two example with the handles intact. Excavated condition.
