Medium size as used with rifle and pistol. 8 1/2” length, curved natural horn with flared “hooded” spout. Slightly domed base secured with round copper pins, complete. The base with forged iron staple for suspension. Horns of this size were used both for priming long rifles and carrying charge powder for rifles and pistols depending on the task at hand. Wonderful character with evidence of use with high regard for decades.
