Silver. Just over 1 ½’ (1.51”) length. Tear-shaped with a stirrup form end. At the time, legionary’s sword belts had split ends with two terminals. See Forum Ancient Coins, 40th and 41st images for identical examples and a very specific scholarly discussion of these. Only silver example we have encountered and surely belonging to a high ranking officer. Surface textured from burial.
