Westward expansion following the Civil War. 1870s, Custer period. Iron, probably made from a wagon wheel tire. Native crafted with partially opened butted seam slightly conical socket. The point forged flat one side with the point angles made by folding and forging the metal. 2 7/8” length. Ex: Indian Ridge Museum, Elyria Ohio, Vietzen Collection.
