Noted for their unique form, these were carried by the slavers who transported slaves from India to Central Asia and Persia. The slaves were captives from the ongoing wars among the princely states of which India was comprised before colonization and traded to a large extent for horses. Iron hilt with broad scroll decorated pommel and straight cross guard. 8” watered steel blade with crisp crystal damask pattern. Brass scabbard, formerly gilt, with wood liner.
