Ox or rhino hide of traditional form. Buckler size, 12 ¾” diameter. Conical with heavy rolled edge and thick hand grip to the reverse. Decorated with military buttons with the Haile Selassie crown, crossed rifle and spear military insignia and halves of naval insignia (?). The edges with plain brass buttons. Haile Selassie was Emperor of Ethiopia from 1930 to 1974.
