Brass hilt, probably silvered originally with plumed helmet pommel and crowned knight motif guard. Finely details as typical for earliest examples. Ebony grip (small damages) with applied cross. 28” double edged blade decorated first 2/3 with Templar motifs and owner’s name. One side crisp. The other with scattered pin point oxidation. The ricasso with Wadhams & Roundy Chicago retailer’s name. That company was in business 1875-80 only. Plated scabbard with fine enameled mounts.  Small chip to the central enameled cross.
